Flatland Kitchen is the partnership of Eric & Rebekah Nolan. We are an small Indianapolis branding & spatial design studio. We have branded & created spatial designs for world-class chefs’ restaurants and we have made public art for neighborhood-changing entrepreneurs. We have developed identities for amazing production bakeries and implemented sign systems for local non-profits. We have created event packaging and collateral for local farmers’ groups & album covers for musicians from all over America. We have a passion for shaping brands and spaces and we love to work with clients that have a passion for their business.
We live in Indianapolis, but we love to travel & grow our community of friends and clients through our work. We have educations and working backgrounds in art, graphic design and exhibition design and production, which allows for our unique approach to branding and spatial design. We work very closely with our clients to get to know them and through an engaged process we are able to represent the brand of the company. We can work on many levels, from packaging design to site plans, however, an ideal project is one where we are working directly with passionate business owners to develop the branding and identity along with shaping the physical space for the company, where many of our broad skills can be utilized.
First we work to position a company and develop a visual direction for the project. We, then develop the identity and spatial design together so that there is a cohesiveness that is reflected in every interaction with the overall brand. We work with talented web designers to ensure the digital representation of the brand works with what we develop elsewhere. We often times focus on just one aspect for a client, depending on needs, however, we love when we can get in on the ground level and truly impact all aspects of the brand.
